End of an Era

Memorable Moments
My College
I cannot pin point a single day from my life at campus that was the most awesome as almost every day was as memorable and beautiful as any other. Every day that I spent in college with my friends now feels like a beautifully written page from an exciting novel(fiction of course). I may not remember the exact sequence of events on any particular day just like one doesn't remember all the nuances printed on a page but I can still feel that warmth of companionship and bonding that kept bringing me closer to my friends, as I continued to turn those magical pages. Now the book is coming to an end with barely a chapter to go. In a month's time, I will be thrown out of my sweet little home with nothing but cheerful memories floating in my mind. There are plenty of memories as there are many memorable moments worth cherishing. I loved hanging out with my buddies- eating, watching new releases at G3S nearby, lazying in the sun at the OAT during winters, simply talking over lunch at MechC or just sipping some hot coffee on a foggy and cold morning at Nescafe.
In college, my friends were my world, similar to an Oasis in a sultry desert without whom life would just cease to exist and what would remain of the institution is a mere carcass. An Oasis is nothing less than heaven for a parched desert traveller but when one spends four years at the Oasis, one gets indifferent to the unconditional comfort and joy it provides.
I began to take my pals for granted as I met them almost every other day in college but only now have I realized their precious worth. I have come to realize that I will not be meeting them as frequently as I did in college. Many of us would be busy in our own worlds; finding time for reunions would be difficult as well. But then good friendships last forever and who says we can't have any sequels to a novel. We will have many more novels, many more stories to tell, each being brighter than the last.
Some foibles
I have been a day's scholar for most of my time at DCE. Once, when I was studying for Information Theory and Coding, I didn't exactly know the syllabus and didn't even try to know about it as I detested the subject. So I did my own preparation with my own choice of textbook. Stupidly enough, I studied really hard from that useless book and went to the exam hall all confident and happy until the question paper came before my eyes. I felt bad but I somehow managed to pass.
My philosophy after four years in college
Enjoy the journey instead of madly running behind the destination. Happiness will evade you as long as you are in its pursuit. It is in the moments that true happiness can be found. Happiness is complete only when it is shared with the ones you love.
