A Panegyric on Music

This is my first ever poem which I penned down some 8 years back to recite in my school morning assembly. Music Music is my passion, Music is my life, It makes my thoughts go wild, But it can be very sweet and very mild. Sometimes music is so slow, But it helps the melody to flow. Music is ubiquitous in every country, But it is not made in any industry. Music originates from deep within our heart And, is just like a never stopping cart. To revel in music is quite peaceful which makes our soul pretty joyful. Music is rapidly growing day by day, As if, there is no time to stay. Music is just running like a train, which fills many good things in our brain. To be in the world of music is interesting, It seems as if our mind is resting. Music can only attract everyone, For it doesn’t have anything to repel anyone. Music is our passion, Music is our life.

Choosing to live

When a mother decides to live... In the dark and gloomy chambers of a decrepit house, Lived a lady in tormenting fear and despair Her innocence forbidden her to rebel and grouse, Against the animal so wild and unfair An epitome of forgiveness and peace, She was a selfless and caring mother Angels were pretty; alas the animal never cared to bother A more sinister recipe was perhaps brewing in his fiendish pressure cooker That night was going to be long and dark Sun ran to the west leaving the dark chambers darker than ever A strange stillness presaged an extinguished lamp forever as the animal began to give shape to his plan in most diabolical manner It did something inconceivable to human race Its impeccably planned act left them with no time to brace Horribly woken from her nightmarish dream, she drowned in liquid fire It dissolved her eyes and ears – both – as she shielded her angels from the acidic ire At first it tasted acerbic, then
